Dad is hanging out in Myrtle Beach with Nancy, Brandon and a couple of friends from China. Looks like he is having a grand ole time!

I miss my dance partner - Hel. But I found two friends who love dancing as much as me and Hel. So we got together along with my old friend Anne and ta da! Dance Party on 9/16!!! Disco and freestyle. Since we can't find a club to play our favorite music, we decided to have our own party!
I'm setting up my 2nd bedroom so my Dad can stay over whenever he wants. I think he may be lonely sometimes at his place and he would enjoy playing with the cats? Plus he can walk to DD, Whole Foods and take a bus into town. There's only 3-4 stops before the bus gets on the Pike and head into town. I think it's faster than him taking the "D" line with 16 stops.
Anyways, the sofa/futon I had couldn't cut it as it is super uncomfortable due to a huge indent from when you fold up the back. My Dad tried sleeping on it and said his back hurt afterwards. Sorry! Unfortunately, the bed I liked was at IKEA! I had it delivered so I also tacked on a tv stand since the delivery fee is the same no matter how much you order. Thank goodness, Norm helped me put both of them together. Needless to say, he told me to never buy IKEA furniture ever again. I agree....but it does look nice. Just waiting for the mattress to be delivered and my Dad will be all set. His apt building is currently under construction as they are renovating all of the apts. So a lot of noise beginning early in the am. Poor Pops! They will move him to another apt when they renovate his. No idea when that will happen. |
