Happy New Year!

So a few of my friends and I ended up at the VFW in Saugus because of he DJ that we follow around. He plays mostly disco music! I didn't really understand the whole concept of the VFW and their members! Basically, it was 3 chinese walking into this huge function room with little clusters of very WHITE people! We danced a bit but the DJ had to cater to the older crowd and played Elvis and Frank Sinatra songs. So my friend said she didn't want to ring in the new year with these people! We ended up at the Golden Temple where it was packed and the music was more current. Plus I knew the DJ there as well and we also got free food! Courtesy of the owner....

So 2017 ended with a bang! And now I'm hoping the new year brings lots of luck, good health and lots of love and happiness!

Merry Christmas!

It's with a heavy heart that I'm writing this post...yea, it's Christmas and everyone is celebrating with family and friends. But I know of one person and her 9 year old son who is struggling. And may or may not have had dinner yet and may go to bed hungry. There's more but I won't go into details. It's too depressing yet I can't help but feel such sadness for my friend. Especially on this day. A day where she should be surrounded by her family and also lots of food and desserts. 

So how can I enjoy this day? Knowing what I know now. Life is tough for sure. But for some it's tougher. Merry Christmas to my friend and her son.

So it was 3 years ago that I celebrated my 50th birthday in Vegas. And got carded twice! Woohoo...well, I can say it happened once again! Ca you effing believe it? Me 53 years old still carded! It's nuts....anyways, had a great time and so thankful to my friend for planning this trip.

Stealth's Holiday Party!

Hosted Stealth's holiday party and had karaoke as entertainment. And most people said they wouldn't sing. So I volunteered myself to sing a duet and recruited a reluctant colleague. It went as well as can be...then did a group Christmas song. After a few drinks, more and more people did ended up singing. It turned out to be a successful party!

Best Birthday ever!

My girls came out to celebrate my birthday despite the snowstorm! Originally 9 people but it came down to the ones that really matter! And they surprised me with my favorite pina colada cake! It's been a whirlwind of a week with all of the dinners and well wishes. Then another dinner and cake with my movie club. Did I need another cake?? Hell yea! So grateful for my friends and family! Thank you....

Heading to Vegas for the final celebration of the year! I thought as I get older, the celebrations would stop but it's more festive every year!​.

    I'm fortunate enough to have an awesome job at a biotech company. I'm also blessed to have the bestest of friends in the world - from Castle Square, ATASK, and Jamie Club - you know who you are! Last but not least, I have a family that are always there for me. 

    Because of all the people in my life, awesome opportunities have come my way - working and volunteering in the community. I hope to continue that work with a little help from my friends.
