Just a quiet night at home with my thoughts of Mom and Helen. And what would I be doing with them if they were still here? My best memories of Helen on Christmas day was us working at the restaurant - Dad kept the restaurant open to prep for New Year's Eve. And it was so DEAD!!! But we made the most of it and always had fun.
And typically our family never really did much for Christmas. I would just give something small to both my Mom and Dad. And maybe a low-key dinner. So in keeping with tradition, I'm cooking for Norm and Dad. Then we'll go visit Por at the nursing home. And while most families celebrate Christmas, I hate to admit I'm writing this post with a slightly heavy heart. But I have my memories to keep me company.
